" I met with Dr. Elizabeth Cantrell about some digestive issues that I have experienced over the past couple of years and she was very attentive to my needs and listened very well. She immediately suggested a common sense course of action in order to find the root of my digestive issues. You can really tell that she really cares about her patients and provides the care that they need by finding the root of the problem, not just handing out pills in order to mask the symptoms. I highly recommend her.”

FAQs

Does insurance cover my visit?

Unfortunately many insurance companies do not cover Naturopathic Medicine visits, making us a cash-based practice. However, if you do have Flex Spending or Health Savings through your employer, we are able to accept that. We will always provide an itemized receipt for your records. We are not able to provide letters of medical necessity.

How will my visit with you be different from other doctor visits?

Because insurance companies do not cover our services, we are given the freedom to spend as much time as needed to learn about your medical needs and to thoroughly get a good grasp on your unique situation so we can get to the root of what is going on.

What can a naturopathic physician help me with?

Naturopathic physicians can address all medical conditions and can provide both individual and family health care. The most common ailments they address are allergies, chronic pain, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, obesity, respiratory conditions, heart disease, fertility problems, menopause, adrenal fatigue, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

What type of education does a naturopathic physician have?

Naturopathic physicians (NDs) attend four years of naturopathic medical school. We use the same textbooks as in orthodox medical schools. We learn the same techniques of physical diagnosis and send our patients' blood and (if laboratory testing is required) to the same labs.  Currently, 20 states, the District of Columbia, and the United States territories of Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands have licensing or registration laws for Naturopathic Doctors. Naturopathic doctors can, however, practice in nearly every state.
